Holiday Magic in Historic Charleston

The City of Charleston will celebrate the holiday season this December with Holiday Magic in Historic Charleston, offering family-oriented activities, performances and decorations that capture the spirit of the season for everyone in the community.Festivities kick off on Saturday, November 30th with the opening of a special extended Holiday Farmers Market in Marion Square followed by the Official City of Charleston Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at 4:30pm in the park. 
 
On Sunday, December 1st come downtown for the 33rd Annual Charleston Christmas Parade sponsored by the Tri-County Fire Chief’s Association. The parade is from 2pm to 4pm, and begins at the intersection of Calhoun and Meeting Streets and proceeds down King Street to Broad Street to Lockwood Blvd.  For more information, including a parade registration form, please visit click hereChanukah in the Square is December 1st from 4pm to 6pm. The candles on the Kwanzaa Kinari will also be lit December 26th.
 
Saturday, December 7th head to the waterfront for the Holiday Parade of Boats from 5-8pm on the Cooper River.
 
Then ring in the New Year at Happy New Year, Charleston! on December 31st from 4:00-10:30pm in Marion Square, an admission-free, non-alcoholic, family-friendly celebration of the arts.
